Everything owners, designers and contractors ask us before their first stretch ceiling — answered plainly.
A stretch ceiling is a purpose-made PVC membrane, welded to your room’s exact dimensions, hooked into a slim aluminium track around the perimeter and heat-tensioned until perfectly flat. It hides wiring, pipes and slab imperfections, and becomes the finished surface — no plastering or painting afterwards.
Pricing depends on the finish, room geometry and lighting works. As a guide, plain matte or gloss installs are comparable to a quality plaster ceiling once painting is included; backlit and sculpted designs cost more because of the LED engineering. Every quotation we issue is fixed and itemised after a free site measurement.
Yes. PVC membrane is dimensionally stable between minus 5°C and 50°C, does not absorb moisture, and will not grow mould, flake or yellow. We install routinely in bathrooms, kitchens and covered outdoor lanai areas.
No. Our membranes are certified to European fire class B-s1,d0 — they resist ignition and do not spread flame. Certificates for the exact batch used on your project are provided with the warranty documents.
This is the scenario stretch ceilings are famous for. The membrane stretches into a basin and holds the water — up to roughly 100 litres per square metre — protecting your flooring and furniture. We drain it through a light fitting, dry the space above and re-tension the same membrane, usually within one visit.
A single room takes two to four hours; a full apartment is typically one working day. There is no hacking, cement or sanding — the crew arrives with pre-fabricated membranes, works from ladders, and vacuums before leaving. Furniture can stay in the room under covers.
Yes. Each fixture gets a concealed reinforcement platform or ring so its weight never rests on the membrane. We coordinate with your electrician, or handle the wiring ourselves if you are adding new lighting as part of the design.
Sagging, discolouration, weld-seam failure and harpoon-edge detachment under normal use — plus print fade on printed designs. The warranty is written, transferable to a new owner of the property, and serviced by our own crews with a 48-hour response commitment.
Ask us directly — a designer replies within one working day, without a sales script.
